An accessibility checklist for Business Pages

Check readability, keyboard use, image descriptions, and form errors with a few practical tests.
An accessibility checklist for Business Pages

A page can look polished and still be difficult for some customers to use. Low-contrast text over a photo, a button that needs a mouse, or an unclear form error are real obstacles. Accessibility is easier to maintain when you check it with every meaningful page change.

Test the main customer tasks

Navigate without a mouse, using Tab and Enter. Can you reach the menu, phone number, and booking action in a sensible order? Is keyboard focus visible? Then zoom the browser and check whether text and buttons remain readable. Test on a phone in ordinary daylight, not only on a designer's monitor.

Do not rely on appearance alone

Give every form field a clear label. Error messages should say what needs correcting. Write alternative text for informative images that explains their purpose; “image” or a filename does not help. Decorative images can use empty alt text. Keep headings in a logical order so readers can scan the page.

Try one real task

Ask someone unfamiliar with the page to find a service and progress through a sample booking. Note moments of confusion as well as visual issues. Combine this with a mobile review to cover the customer's most common context.
