Measure contacts and bookings, not just page views

Use a few clear measures to learn whether visitors find a service and take the next step.
Measure contacts and bookings, not just page views

More traffic is encouraging, but it does not prove the page helps the business. Visitors may arrive and fail to find contact details. A smaller audience may produce better enquiries. Start measurement by asking what action the page should make easier.

Begin with three events

Track service-page views, clicks on contact or message, and completed bookings or requests separately. A button click is not the same as a conversation or a sale, so name each measure honestly. If booking has several steps, note where people leave; the problem may be time selection rather than the introduction.

Compare like with like

One busy day is not a trend. Compare similar weeks and note changes to hours, promotions, and available slots. When moving a button, change one major thing at a time so the result is easier to interpret. A single main action also makes measurement simpler.

Keep data collection small

You rarely need a customer's complete number or message text to see which service is most viewed. Prefer aggregate measures and limit report access. Use the numbers to make one small decision each month; a dashboard without decisions only collects counters.
