Where should temporary and holiday hours appear?

Regular opening hours may stay correct for months, but a one-day closure matters immediately. If the page says open while booking is closed, customers do not know which source to trust. Give temporary changes a repeatable process.
Record the change once
In an internal calendar, record the start and end dates, affected branch or service, and person responsible. Apply the same window to booking capacity. If only one service is unavailable, do not mark the whole business closed. Distinguish phone support from in-person opening hours where needed.
Show it near the decision
Place a short notice near opening hours and booking: “The central branch is closed Monday; appointments resume Tuesday.” Use exact dates instead of “this week,” which can become stale. Contact customers who already have an appointment directly. Repeat the changed place or time in their reminder.
Check every channel
The business page, map profile, social channels, phone greeting, and confirmation should agree. Keep a short team checklist and remove the temporary notice after it ends. A stale “closed tomorrow” message quickly undermines confidence.
