What to clarify before sharing a customer photo

Real photos can demonstrate your work, but appearing in a photo does not mean a customer agreed to publish it. A happy client may still prefer that their face, name, or location stay private. A short, clear process prevents later misunderstandings.
Ask for specific permission
State which image you plan to use, where it will appear, and what identifying details accompany it. A website gallery and a paid advertisement are different uses. Even a photo without a face can reveal someone through its background. Check the relevant rules separately for minors or sensitive contexts.
Review the file before upload
Look for other people, visible documents, phone numbers, and location data. Agree on edits with the person concerned. File names and alt text should describe the work, not the customer's personal information. Our gallery guide helps choose images that are useful as well as authentic.
Make removal workable
Record who approved which use and when. Provide a contact route for changes or removal, with someone responsible for acting on requests. Recheck the scope before reusing an image in a new campaign.
